You cannot have this treatment if you:

  • Are pregnant
  • Have an active skin infection in the area to be treated (including cold sores, impetigo, or fungal infection)
  • Have open wounds, cuts, or broken skin in the treatment area
  • Have active inflammatory skin conditions in the area being treated (such as acne flares, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis)
  • Have a history of poor wound healing or abnormal scarring (including keloid scarring)
  • Have had radiotherapy to the treatment area
  • Have a known bleeding disorder
  • Are currently unwell with fever or systemic illness
  • Have a current or previous diagnosis of skin cancer in the treatment area
  • Are currently under investigation or follow-up for suspected skin cancer


You cannot have botulinum toxin treatment if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have a known allergy to botulinum toxin or any of the ingredients in the product
  • Have a neuromuscular condition, such as:
    • Myasthenia gravis
    • Lambert-Eaton syndrome
    • Motor neurone disease
  • Have an active infection, inflammation, or skin condition at or near the injection site
  • Are currently unwell with a fever or systemic illness
  • Have had a previous severe reaction to botulinum toxin treat
