Doctor-Led | Evidence-Based | Patient-Centred

 

NI Skin Medic offers private medical dermatology consultations for adults with common skin concerns. This is for Adults Only, we do not offer this for patients who are immunosuppressed. 

Consultations are led by Dr Julie Ann, an NHS specialty doctor working in dermatology, with postgraduate training in dermatology and advanced certification in dermatoscopy.

What We Can Help With

We assess and manage a range of common skin conditions, including:

  • Acne
  • Rosacea
  • Psoriasis
  • Eczema
  • Fungal skin infections
  • Bacterial skin infections
  • Scabies
  • Pigmentary concerns
  • Benign skin lesions

Lesion assessment using dermatoscopy is available where appropriate.

Your Consultation

Your appointment includes the assessment of skin concerns, discussion of findings and a management plan. 


We Cannot refer directly to NHS. 

Prescriptions & GP Communication

A written GP letter outlining diagnosis and recommended treatment can be provided for you to take to your GP.

Your GP is under no obligation to prescribe, and prescribing decisions remain at their discretion. Private prescriptions may be discussed where clinically appropriate.

Important Information

This is a private medical dermatology service and is not consultant-led.
It does not replace NHS dermatology care.

Patients with suspected skin cancer or those requiring urgent specialist investigation will be re directed appropriately.

How much is a medical dermatology appointment ?

A 20 minute appointment is £160 , 15 minute review appointment is £120

A comprehensive medical dermatology consultation including assessment, diagnosis, dermatoscopy where appropriate, and management or referral planning.

Please note: This appointment fee covers assessment and clinical opinion only.
Any procedures, including cryotherapy, are charged separately if clinically appropriate and agreed on the day 

Cryotherapy add on to medical dermatology appointment

Cryotherapy may be offered for selected benign lesions following medical assessment.

If appropriate, this will be discussed during your dermatology consultation and charged as an additional procedure fee.

Cryotherapy is not included in the consultation fee and is not suitable for all lesions.

Benign Lesion Cryotherapy (Nurse-Led)


This service is for the treatment of clearly 

benign lesions only.
It does not include medical diagnosis or mole assessment.
Lesions that are not suitable will be referred for medical review - this will be on a separate day and there will be an additional cost. 

Map My Mole


This is a third party service for concerning moles or lesions. You Make your appointment at the Skin Medic and a magnified image which be taken using a special device called a dermatacope, this will be sent off and a UK Consultant Dermatologist will give a report with 24-48 hours. You will then be able to  inform your GP  who can refer appropriately.
