This service is suitable for clearly benign lesions only, such as skin tags and warts, or lesions that have previously been diagnosed as benign by your GP.

This appointment does not include mole assessment or medical diagnosis.

If there is any uncertainty regarding a lesion, dermoscopic imaging may be recommended via our Map My Mole service prior to treatment. This is offered as an additional service to ensure safe and appropriate care.

If you choose not to proceed with further assessment, a £50 clinical review fee will still apply. We will not proceed with treatment if there are any clinical concerns about the lesion.

Map My Mole is an independent third-party teledermatology service. At The Skin Medic, we provide dermoscopic imaging of individual lesions, which are then submitted to Map My Mole for review.

All images are assessed and reported on by a UK Consultant Dermatologist. The Skin Medic facilitates the imaging process only and does not independently diagnose skin cancer or provide a skin cancer screening service.

The consultant report is returned within 24–48 hours and provided to you. You may then share this report with your GP if further NHS assessment or referral is required.

If you have a rapidly changing, bleeding, painful, or otherwise concerning lesion, you are advised to seek urgent GP assessment via the NHS pathway rather than relying solely on teledermatology review.

We do not provide biopsy, excision, surgical procedures, or direct referral to secondary care.
